About NewGen IEDC

NewGen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (NewGen IEDC) at IIIT Allahabad is a flagship initiative supported by the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, and implemented by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad. The Centre is committed to nurturing a vibrant ecosystem of innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology commercialization by empowering students, researchers, faculty members, and aspiring entrepreneurs to transform innovative ideas into successful and sustainable ventures. Through structured mentorship, technical guidance, seed funding support, and strong industry-academia collaboration, NewGen IEDC provides a conducive environment for developing knowledge-based and technology-driven startups.

Our Mission

As a key component of the innovation ecosystem at IIIT Allahabad, NewGen IEDC provides comprehensive support throughout the entrepreneurial journey—from ideation and prototype development to incubation, commercialization, and venture growth. The Centre actively promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, research-driven innovation, and entrepreneurial excellence through workshops, startup boot camps, mentoring sessions, innovation challenges, and awareness programmes.
