Message from the Desk of the Dean (Academic Affairs)

Dear Students, Faculty Members, and Visitors,

Welcome to the Office of Academic Affairs at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIITA), Prayagraj.

As a centrally funded technical institute governed by the IIIT Act 2014 and recognized as an 'Institute of National Importance,' IIITA has been dedicated to cultivating highly skilled manpower since its inception in 1999. In just over two decades, our institute has risen to the forefront of technical education in India. We achieve this by imparting deep knowledge, fostering innovative research, and building robust development skills through our flagship BTech, MTech, MBA, and PhD programs.

As Dean, my core mission is to protect and elevate the academic integrity and pedagogical (teaching) standards that drive this success. Our academic ecosystem is backed by extraordinary experimental laboratory facilities across our Information Technology (IT), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), and Applied Sciences (AS) departments, ensuring our students receive an education that is both cutting-edge and deeply practical.

The strength of our academic foundations is clearly reflected in our global footprint. IIITA alumni are leading top companies, launching successful enterprises, and driving research at eminent universities worldwide. Their achievements continue to bring greater global recognition to the institute, allowing our placement records to stand at par with the top IITs year after year.

Looking ahead, I am confident that by continuously refining our curriculum, embracing interdisciplinary research, and maintaining strict academic rigor, IIITA will soon reach the legendary educational heights of ancient Indian universities like Nalanda and Takshila.
