About

The cultural council at IIIT Allahabad is built around six specialised student societies — Virtuosi (music), Genetix (dance), Sarasva (literary and public speaking), Rangtarangini (drama), Nirmiti (art and craft) and AMS (photography and video editing). Their widest and most varied showcase is Effervescence, the Institutes' flagship annual cultural fest, run by a dedicated student fest committee within whose framework each society stages its own signature formats. The same six societies are also invited to perform at Approksha, Asmita, Foundation Day and the Global Alumni Meet, typically with a single act each rather than the full range they bring to Effervescence.
