The rapid advancement in the VLSI technology and system integration have made possible to design chips with more than billion transistors. With the advent of VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) technology, it is now possible to design chips with billion transistors. A specialized one month summer training program from 8th June to 5 th July 2020 has been scheduled at IIIT-A. This training program will cover analog and digital integrated circuit design using commercial technology kits and simulation tools along with exposure to fabrication methods and PCB design.

A national seminar cum workshop on “Recent Developments in Applied Biotechnology (RDAB-2020)” is scheduled to be held at Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India, during 06-08th March, 2020. The primary concept of this program is to showcase the emerging novel trends in the field of basic and applied biotechnology at global level. This will provide a scope to explore recent advancements of research in the field of Biotechnology which indeed offer several new prospects and opportunities for human healthcare. In addition, participants will get hands on training on the advanced techniques like fluorescent activated cell sorters (FACS) and isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC).

The rapid advancement in the area of Optical Networks provides excellent capacity in terms of Bandwidth. Here, the Optical Network is being used as the backbone network. The aim of this Workshop is to update the knowledge of the participants towards Optical Network and Photonics principles. This workshop will also introduce the participants to the current practices in the field and will help in developing the research aptitude in this area. The topics to be covered are Introduction to Optical Networks and Routing Techniques, Modulation/DeModulation Techniques in Optical Network, Optical Time Division Multiplexing (OTDM), WDM/Single and Multi Hop Networks, Protection and Restoration in Optical Networks, Elastic Optical Networks, Machine Learning for Optical Networks, Photonic Crystal Fibers (PCF) and plasmonic behaviour of PCF. Lectures and Lab/Hands-On Sessions would help to understand it in better way.
