Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIITA), Prayagraj is a centrally funded technical institute governed by the act of parliament of India, IIIT Act 2014. It was established by the government of India as an 'Institute of National Importance' in the year 1999 with the aim of accelerating the highly skilled manpower generation through teaching and research in the field of Information Technology and allied areas. Within a short span of 20+ years the institute has reached to first few top notch technical institutes of India by imparting highest level of knowledge, research and development skills through the BTech, MTech, MBA and PhD programs. The experimental facilities in many laboratories in the IT, ECE, and AS departments of the institute are indeed extraordinary. Our alumni can be easily found in any part of the globe, among top administration of highly reputed companies, as entrepreneurs, as researchers in eminent universities, etc. Their success stories is bringing greater global recognition to the institute. And hence, our placement record has been at par with top IITs since last several years. Visualizing the extrapolation of the trajectory of IIITA I am sure that very soon it is going to attain those heights at which, a few centuries back, ancient Indian universities of Nalanda and Takshila were situated.
