ADMINISTRATION (Hits so far: 32586)
This is the principal authority responsible for academic, financial and administrative matters. Chaired by Hon’ble Director, the Board includes representatives of MHRD, AICTE, State Government, academia, industry, IIIT faculty and other people involved with the Institute. The Board has the final responsibility for long-term policy formulation, planning and development for growth and governance of the Institute. It is also empowered to create standing sub-committees to focus on specific matters including student and faculty matters.
This committee looks after resource mobilization and control of expenditure. It also stimulates resource generation from sources other than Government funding, such as sponsored projects, research and consultancy. The committee is also responsible for promoting interaction with industry.
It was envisaged that the Institute would start as a registered society under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. Accordingly, the Indian Institute of Information Technology Society, Allahabad was registered on March 12, 1999 at Allahabad under the above mentioned act.
