Rolling Advertisement for the Post of Assistant Professor (on Contract)
(Candidates can apply any time during the year)

Applications are invited from Indian nationals including Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) for the faculty post mentioned below in the following Departments

1. Applied Sciences,

2. Electronics and Communication Engineering,

3. Information Technology,

4. Management Studies

Other essential requirements and additional desirable requirements are as per the 4 - tier flexible faculty structure.

Department Specific areas of specializations sought:
1. Department of Information Technology: All areas in Computer Science and Information Technology, with special emphasis on operating systems, algorithms, software engineering, cryptography and information security, computer networks, database management systems, and machine learning.

2. Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering: All areas of Electronics and Communications, with special emphasis on wireless communication, microprocessors and embedded systems, RF and microwave engineering and digital signal processing.

3. Department of Applied Sciences: All areas of Bioinformatics and Biomedical Engineering with special emphasis on next generation sequencing and big data analytics, computational biology, medical information system, medical instrumentation, medical physics, biomechanics and bioelectric; Probability and Stochastic Process, Algebra, Operation Research, Modeling and Simulations and Theoretical Physics.

4. Department of Management Studies: All areas of Management with special emphasis on operations / operations management, marketing management, financial management, human resource management.

The applicant needs to specify clearly the Department he/she is applying to.

Benefits provided
IIIT Allahabad makes every attempt to help faculty members settle in their academic role and to grow professionally. The Assistant Professors (on contract) get all the benefits as regular faculty members do. These include:
1. Contribution towards New Pension Scheme (NPS), HRA, LTC, medical re-imbursement, transportation allowance, education allowance for children etc. will be admissible as per the Institute Rules.
2. A Cumulative Professional Development Allowance of Rs. 3 Lakhs for every block period of 3 years is available to every member of the faculty to meet the expenses for participating in both national and international conferences, paying the membership fees of various professional bodies, for books and periodicals and contingent expenses, as well as for other professional development activities.
3. Reimbursement of telephone bills up to a ceiling of Rs.750/-per month.
4. Besides pay, the post carries allowances according to the Institute rules which at present correspond to those admissible to the Central Government employees stationed at Allahabad.

Accommodation
Suitable residential accommodation as per Institute rules shall be provided on the Campus on joining the Institute.
